We offer a one or two day course in cake making. From making and finishing the traditional sponge cakes to biscuits, teacakes, tray bakes and the more elaborate designs of cup cakes through to producing some of the finest boiled fruit and bara-brith, this course will provide you with all the skills and know how you need to become the cake maker you never thought you were. One Day Course
Sundays: 10.00am – 5.00pm
Have a great day out, enjoy learning and above all get the skills you need to put the food you can be proud of on the table of your choice. A minimum of four is required for the course.
One Day Couples Course
Sundays: 10.00AM – 5.00pm
Remember the price is for either one of the courses - coming with a partner or friend is less expensive and talk to us if you have a group of three people or more as we may be able to offer you a further discount! A minimum of four people is required for the course.
Two Day Course
Sunday & Monday: 10.00AM – 5.00pm
A two-day course in baking that extends the knowledge from the first day to include more detail in the different techniques, making different varieties and shapes and moving from domestic to commercial equipment. The course also includes an introduction to Health & Safety, Environmental Health and Food Safety Standards and a City & Guilds approved Level 2 Food Hygiene Course and certificate.
Baking for the Children
Saturdays: 1.00PM – 4.00PM
£20 per child.
Don’t forget the children! A half day course especially for those children aged 5+ who can learn in an afternoon how to bake their own bread and cakes in an easy fun environment with plenty to learn but lots to share. Includes all refreshments. Fantastic for birthdays or families or groups up to six children. Parents are welcome to stay or go. A minimum of four is required for the course.
Baking for Groups
Sundays: 10.00AM – 2.00pm (flexible)
£50 per person
On holiday or having a break? Want to do something really fun with people you care about? Our half day bread or cake making course is a fab way of spending a morning learning skills and having fun. Includes all refreshments, a buffet lunch and all the produce you make.. Why not celebrate being in Wales and learn to bake either a Bara Brith or a Boiled Fruit Cake and some Welsh cakes! A minimum of four is required for the course.
